As Promised, Pics of the BMW badged Octy...

Featured Replies

Saw this standing by the side of the road and was reminded of my earlier post where I promised to post pics of this amazing sight. So made my mate pull over and asked him for his phone ( his sony ericsson k750i has a much better camera than my Razr ), and proceeded to take these gems.

Wat a pi$$ant....

Yes. I was pretty impressed with the pic quality too, once i copied the pics to my computer.

I'm pretty kicked about my decision in grabbing my friend's phone instead of using my own.

but, here's the thing.

It can actually pass for a bmw to the casual dimwit observer.

Mine frequently did, without the aid of the bmw grille.

Personally, if it wasn't for the actual badge o that, i'd have it.

I agree there. My friend was actually arguing with me and telling me that this was indeed a BMW. and this is when my friend owns an Octy vRS himself. At the time of taking the pic we were in his Honda, hence he couldn't make a direct comparison. He did come around though....once i pointed out the Octy's basic designs.

 NO NO NO, thats just wrong. why would you do that???

And why the hell would he pretend to just have a 318?! Surely he could have found a 325 or 330 badge?!!

Steve

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ! I like that, the front looks kinda BMWish but the back? OMG! I think I'm gonna stick Bentley badges on mine now. (SHHHHHH! No one will know the difference!)

Perhaps this is simply someone with a good sense of humour? I think its hilarious!

Either that or its a ****. ;)

I've seen two others with 325i badges. Apparently there are some of these chuts with taste.

His exhaust is wonky.

Saw this the other day, i dont know, some people!!!

there was an octy at doncaster station the other day.

front skoda roundel replaced by a saab badge

(slightly smaller with a mark left around it)

the rear still said octavia

but again the skoda badge was gone,

leaving just a round mark.

at least this guy's gone to the trouble of effecting a more elaborate disguise!

I wonder if they have disconnected the indicators as well, for that authentic BMW driving experience.

That's just wrong in so many ways!

Identity Crisis or what?

May it's because all the BMW drivers are getting pulled over by the police VRs cars, but can't cope with loosing the badge :P

I always thought Skoda was better than BMW?

Whether you like it or not and I would suggest that most don't, it's quite an effective mod nonetheless.

As previously mentioned we don't know if he has used VAG-COM to disable the indicator function and fitted the special steering rack that means they automatically pull acrosss all the lanes on the m/way whenever it comes on from a slip road :P

On a side note f**k those Police VRs cars are damn quick I saw one destroy a 330i on the way to work today.

talking of the police vRS's, there was one (poss still is) on ebay, it was cheap, but chipped to 220bhp, what else do they do to there cars, or is it a remap only?
