has anyone purchased these cheap VCDS's from ebay? - 

I had a message from a seller saying it's the same as rosstech:

I'm interested in priming fuel pump/fuel filter/ fuel rail when messing around with the fuel system.

 

P.S. turning on and off the ignition doesn't do it for me, I broke an ignition switch and made a messed with the fuel lines when trying to prime a stupid fuel filter.

Most likely a cheap foreign import that will do more harm than good.  You can really f***  up your car with one. Genuine Ross tech VCDS is around £250/£300 I believe, the clue is in the price.

Briskoda doesn't allow the discussion or condone the use of fake cables due to copyright issues and other potential problems.

thing is, I didn't want to spend that much for occasional use 😞

 

i didn't know it was fake... hence why i'm looking for advice
