Karoq Sportline rear seats and boot space

Featured Replies

I’m thinking of replacing Yeti with a Karoq and there seems to be really good deals on the Sportline spec- the only problem is they don’t have the varioflex seats.

Do the sportline seats recline and slide backwards and forwards?

Considering the Karoq boot is slightly bigger than the Yeti, how does a varioflex Yeti compare to a Sportline Karoq for usable boot space?

If you do move from a Yeti to a Karoq the Yeti rubber floor mats fit OK.  On the driver’s side only one of the fixing “buttons” is useable otherwise no problems.

I've gone for one of these deals and I'm pretty sure the rear seats are fixed and do not recline or slide, but do of course fold down.

No recline or slide. I’ve got a 4x4 version with a space saver spare wheel also, which means useable height is reduced. Result is not what you’d call small but certainly less useful for larger loads than vario-flex equipped models.

Only SE-L and Edition have varioflex seats in the UK. I believe it's an option on all models but Sportline.

That all depends on what position the Yeti's seats are in. With rear seats in normal position the Karoq is much bigger - approx 520L v 420L in a Yeti.  What's the capacity of a yeti with rear seats in the most forward position? I'd be surprised if it's any more than that of the Karoq Sportline  -  remember, it's only the outer seats that slide forward, the centre is fixed so Varioflex isn't as practical as it's made out to be. Of course you can remove seats altogether but in reality, how many times does that happen?

For me it was a toss up between the Edition or Sportline and to be honest the only deciding part of varioflex wasn't the space, but a nice roller tonnaeu cover -v- cardboard parcel shelf. That said, it's much easier to lower the rear seats in the Sportline, I find lowering and raising the varioflex seats a pain. I certainly wouldn't miss varioflex.

After living with the Variofex seats for almost a year I wouldn’t miss ‘em if they weren’t on my next motor.......

I think Varioflex  are great for me, take the middle seat out and I can get my bike in easy enough.

Being able to slide the outer seats forward can make it better to fit odd shaped things in the boot too.

Suits me.
