I've just purchased a private reg and want some pressed plates. I've had a look on eBay and can get a set for £18 which seem OK, just wondering if anyone has some that they can recommend and provide retailer info.

I thought pressed metal number plates weren't legal on vehicles registered after 2001.

Can't see any mention of it on the DVLA, so long as they're the correct spacing and reflective they're OK. I'm not looking to misrepresent the plate so it will conform to BS.

Agreed. Had a set on my MkI 53 Fabia. Never an issue come MoT in my time.

Have pressed plates on my fabia and never a problem with mot bought of a stand at show at harewood house or try dudmeister

I got mine from www.ukmetalplates.com

 

It was £35 for the pair but they’re made to legal spec and was very pleased with them. 

That's the company that I used, they're very good quality and worth the money. 

 

I got the GB flag on mine for post Brexit. Been into France/Belgium without incident.
