Karoq - drained battery passenger door deadlocked

Featured Replies

Ok, so as you can guess from the title, this is what happened when I got back off holiday the other day. Had left my dashcam plugged in drawing a current. Alarm started to sound in the evening when we got back and I quickly realised what the cause of it was.

Anyway both front doors were deadlocked and could only get access to the rear doors. (Eventually learned about the cap you can flick off the drivers side handle and used that to get into drivers side)

No possible way from here on in to get at the bonnet, at least that's what I though until AA showed up.

Turns out you can gently manipulate the bonnet lever to open the bonnet from inside without opening the passenger door.

Quick jump start and right as rain again (after 30 mins of running time)

Thought may be useful to anyone who has come across similar issues before..
