Battery charging & Alarm

Hello,

I am going to leave my car charging for a couple of months using the CTEK unit that I have.

If I leave the bonnet slightly open so as to not crimp the charging cable, will this cause my car alarm to activate. I wouldn't want the alarm sounding & annoying the neighbours during my absence.

Does the car automatically lock after a certain period of inactivity, I could leave the car unlocked as it is stored in a locked garage.
