I am trying to replace my front wipers and try as I might, the passenger wiper will not budge, the button depresses and I can see it isn't that causing a problem, but it simply won't budge off the arm. The drivers side resisted for a matter of seconds and then slid off, but the passenger side is stuck solid. It's an original Skoda one and probably the original blade and I've tried waggling it, yanking it and nothing and I'm worried about damaging the arm. I've always replaced my own blades and never had any issues until now, anyone else had these problems or know the solution?

May try some WD-40 to loosen it?

That's a coincidence, I had the same problem at the weekend except that when I pressed the button it snapped and fell off leaving the wiper was stuck to the arm like yours. With the button out of the way, I was able to lever the arm off easily with a screwdriver poked through the hole. So try snapping the button off!

Thanks for your replies, I have finally sorted it. I managed to keep the button intact and got a screw driver behind the button and the whole in the arm and whilst pressing the button in and applying a little pressure from the screwdriver I gently teased it out. Couldn't believe how stuck it was though!
