major Service Costs

Featured Replies

If you stop on variable you may not need a Service until 2022 but a 2016 TDi will be do a Cambelt change in 2021 if they are still on 5 yearly.

Indeed,

so as I've done over 9k since last oil change it's getting major + brake fluid this week to cover all parts that I found out it's not had from the two previous dealers I got in touch with.

I'm going to leave it on variable service. Then after this service it'll get its next oil change once that countdown expires or a little before.

Then an annual oil and variable service oil will get me two oil changes at least every 10k or slightly less if I keep an eye on my mileage. Going by the fact my previous car (Seat Altea tdi) did over 180k miles without any issues and had oil changes every 10k that's my plan with this.

If it makes you feel better I collected my XF from an independent specialist on Friday after it's service. £954.   Main dealer wanted £1975.
