Featured Replies

Anybody heard about this?

It applied to 1.5TSI in Octavia, Karoq, Superb and Kodiaq and has had a fair amount of coverage for 5 months now.

First I heard of it today!

Hi Andy it’s Jason. Hope you are well and the full lock tug isn’t “driving” you to distraction!

I think it was to stop the infamous 1.5 TSI kangaroo, they were also reportedly dying unexpectedly when pulling out of junctions, I’m surprised no one was T boned.

If I recall correctly it seemed to be about alternator load which sounds mighty dubious to me, but hey - what do I know?

Typo

The danger of just hanging out out in the Kodiaq forum is the risk that you'll get like the Yeti forum was at its peak, a little insular and blinkered.

It's good to have a smooch around the other model forums too, you pick up on stuff that can be related to the car you own / drive and therefore be of interest...

I had the update done last year. Made a MASSIVE difference to pulling away and driving at low speed. No kangarooing anymore!
