Get springs changed the estates rear springs are crap O.E go for Lesjofors have lasted much longer than the 45,000 I was getting from O.E

Lesjofors and Kilen springs are the same, but have different part numbers.

On ebay.co.uk Kilen are usually cheaper than the equivalent Lesjofors.

They are both made in the same factory in Sweden.

Lesjofors and Kilen do sometimes have a one size fits all approach like many other aftermarket spring manufacturers. A one size fits all approach means that one spring is being sold to match more than one OEM part number. This means that you could end up with a slightly harder and/or slight longer spring than standard. However, on the Skoda Superb MK2 1.6TDI estate and hatchback, the Lesjofors/Kilen springs do appear to match the OEM springs exactly as only one corresponding OEM part number is given.

Another problem, with Lesjofors/Kilen is that they don't mark the model number on the spring, just some unintelligible manufacturer's code. This means that if you receive an open box, you won't know if it's been changed for the wrong spring. This happened to me recently, but fortunately it was obvious that the spring had been changed as it was more than twice the weight that it should have been. Another Lesjofors/Kilen spring that I ordered was matching an older heavier duty specification even though it was being sold to replace my spring. Lesjofors/Kilen were selling it to be a replacement for two different OEM part numbers, where the two OEM part numbers were slightly different springs. That also got sent back for a refund.

I bought Lesjofors springs and chose the one that corresponded to the Skoda "rough road" suspension, very pleased, a slight increase in ride height (after allowing for the sag of the old springs) significantly less deflection under load and no change to ride and comfort.

They were very cheap as well on Ebay.fr

Are you able to show that there are an equal number of compatible shock absorbers with "appropriate" ratings listed to be used with the different spring ratings?

I suspect there will be no more than two, possibly only one.

A quick glance at the parts catalogue suggests at least three separate options for dampers, depending on PR number.
