I have Fabia 2008 1.4 16 valve engine code BBZ.

I assume you mean the part number, it's printed on the ECU and clearly visible, the ECU is attached to a bracket on the RHS of the bulkhead as you look into the engine bay from the front.

I have the BBZ engine, I'll have a look for the part number if the rain and wind ever stops.

 

A 2008 Fabia is a Mk2 surely ? Different engine codes altogether.

Yes different, well spotted Totoro, he has a Mark 2 and has posted in the wrong forum section.

I didn't think the mk2 came out until 2009 but that might just have been the vrs?

Anyway, moved to the mk2 section until someone says otherwise!

You will need vagtacho or vagcommander to read the PIN code from the ECU
