Ready to Remap my DTUK CRD3 box for the Karoq

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

So far loving the Karoq 2.0 TDi 4x4 Sportline, but I've got to admit it needs some more ooomph.  I've still got my DTUK CRD3 box and harness and DTUK will remap it for just a £10, lifting the Karoq from 150bhp to 198bhp.

Has anyone remapped their Karoq?

Did you notice a big difference in the ooomph?

Any problems or issues to report so far?

Cheers!

Manual or DSG? If its DSG i wouldnt bother using one of these boxes, the DSG will see more torque than expected and start messing up the power delivery

Cheers, luckily I'm manual.

:) Good luck with your tuning then and i will step back

Sorry Off the Topic since it is a manual.

@delitfol

Have you experienced an issue with a 2.0 TDI and using a Tuning box with one with a DSG?

I have and there was no issues and no need for there to be.

Not a TDI, but yes on newer petrol models i have (the new 190PS) , id rather not talk publicly about it

People do need to think, do i own this car and can do what i like and only the Insurers and i are the interested parties or the car is leased or on finance so not mine to possibly invalidate the Manufacturers Warranty.

Not sure about others, however I declared the tuning box on my Octy VRs and my premium only increased by £30 which is basically an admin fee.  On the warranty front, DTUK's uk wording isn't great and refers to 'once removed'...ha ha.  Its a bit like saying 'once you've slowed down', your no longer risk being caught speeding.

I wonder if a person was caught with it on and challenged about their warranty by Skoda....and they then went on to remove it and said to DTUK, you said it would be fine once removed, so please now fight my corner with SKODA.

I own my Karoq outright, but yes I agree, for those who are leasing or have them as company cars, it could be a sticky wicket of contention should something go wrong.
