How to remove A pillar plastic trim cover?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have instructions how to remove A pillar plastic trim cover? Or maybe just a photo of the back of it, so I can see how it is attached.
I would really like to pass on broken pins :).

It just snaps into place so use a trim removal tool to get off. If you have an airbag there then there's a screw behind the cover.

Don't trap any wires when you refit...

Thank you, that will help a lot.
I just need to route DAB antenna at the bottom of the A pillar, so no wires should be affected. Thx for the tip.

In my experience it takes quite a bit of effort to remove that piece of trim .

I used a trim removal tool to get it out a bit then get fingers in behind it and pull it parallel to the windscreen until the plastic guide pins are out of their holes and it should pop, then slide it up towards the roof once loose.

In the end i think I had to stand outside the car and push it in towards the center of the car to get enough power behind it.

Unfortunately no photos, the plastic guide pins are quite long, I'm sure there were photos in one of the reversing camera retrofit threads.

Yes, that’s the way to do it. Easy peasy with the right technique. More here:
