Skoda superb 2.5 tdi auto

Featured Replies

Hi all I’m looking To buy the 2.5tdi superb auto what are they like it has fsh

what are things to look out for generally is main question

is the auto box a DSG or normal auto 2006 plate

what is mpg like I do around 250-500 miles per week as an electrician but need it for work & personal use & have 6 months old so require room for pram/ pushchair do they have isofix

or would I be better with 2.0 tdi Octavia hatch DSG

any information would be greatly appreciated

I had a late 2005 V6TDI as my first Skoda.  Absolutely loved it 😎

It's a standard outbox, not a DSG.  Mine was no trouble at all, but I know Jim, on here, had some trouble with reverse on his - worth checking reverse uphill as a good test.

Very comfortable, well appointed car.  Bags of room - fantastic rear leg room (best in class IIRC).  Torque makes it an effortless drive.

Cambelt changes are expensive - mine had a 'FSH' but was missing a belt change, so best to check they've actually been done.

Mine averaged 31mpg overall.  At the time I had an 18 mile commute of about eight miles of A road and the rest 30 & 40mph traffic.  I remember having a two mile sweet spot on my way in to Hastings that was dead level and 30mph was tickover 😀

I replaced my Superb with an Octavia DSG (vRS).  If you want space, go for the Superb.  If you want economy, get the Octy.
