Adblue dosing malfunction

Featured Replies

Has any one on here been asked by there dealer to go in for an adblue injector calibration , mine was in for its 40,000 service I asked them to see if my vehicle was affected and it was , but they can’t do it as they haven’t received the tool, flash box , to up date the controller

this is a known  fault on Audi Q3 Q5

I haven't had any issues with drive ability and I’m getting around 5000 miles to a tank of adblue

I have been ask for that. Waiting also for the tool. I don't understand what is the fault and what could be the consequences.

@patrolman   Exactly as @Gabi4 posted.

VW Group / Skoda are rather good at doing Service Campaign / Recall Actions on cars without issues and then trying to blame Dealerships if then a car plays up.

I did not expect your Euro 6 car to be part of 'The Emissions cheat fix'.

VW Group / Skoda were at it still in the EURO 6 TDI's with a wee AdBlue cheat though.  I had one that after 2 AdBlue top ups decided it really did not need to be using much AdBlue,

It did however start Regening lots costing me cash money in Diesel which is rather more expensive that 10 Litres of Adblue once in a while. (5,000 miles or so)

Not very green or environmentally friendly TDI's regening and smelling like you are at an airport.

From what I have found out a number of  ad blue injector controllers were installed with the wrong parameters in them

i don’t now if this will result in higher or lower ad blue  consumption

it’s nothing to do with the cheat scandal and only affects some vwg vehicles

the tool is a stand alone flash box that plugs into one of the multi plug connectors and a 12v power supply  it’s plug and play

I am not talking cheat scandal as in 2015,s.   I am talking the **** that could hit the fan into euro 6 and the next cheat that was ready to still allow small adblue tanks.  But if that has nothing to do with anything and is an Internet myth that is OK.  I had a euro 6 tdi SCR cheater though, from SEAT.

Just checked my VIN and it looks like my car is part of the recall. Likewise with Patrolman, there doesn't appear to be any issues with the car - perhaps more regens than I thought it would do, but otherwise going great.

Slightly off topic but Ad Blue related,Aldi are doing 10l of Ad Blue for £8.99 at the moment,hope this helps someone.
