Roof Bars

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’m going on a road trip in the summer and am after some roof bars. Was thinking about renting them but thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas. I’ve got a 2014 Octavia hatchback. TIA, Mick

For hatchbacks, with cars having bespoke to individual models mounting kits, I would be surprised if companies offer rental bars.  For estates with roof rails that are more generic, renting may be possible.

I have some Thule aero bars from a 2010 mk2 hatch that I keep meaning to sell on. I see you are  North West based....

If you're after new then take a look at these guys - can't recommend them highly enough.

In the past few years we've bought roof box, roof bars and tow hook bike carrier from them.  First class service every time.  Give them a call if you have any questions, they are very helpful on the phone too.

Jump on thule website input your car details and it gives you all the bits you need, adapters for car as they will hook under roof into little holes in rim, feet and bars where applicable. Then hit Ebay shpock and fb marketplace and search the appropriate parts by number obtained from the thule site.

Far cheaper and thule stuff is solid and lasts years. I've bought all.mine second hand, box included and its bullet proof and far cheaper for occasional use, as is my need.

Whereabouts is this? I had a look on the Thule website and couldn't see it?

Click in the show filter and it's there that you input car details. And you can see the different options for bars etc

The Aldi bars are good, and only £20 ish.

Thanks got it (in IE, guess I need to download a Firefox update!)
