Well once I actually get to drive it as an everyday car, I’ll be in a better position to answer you.

If the dealer manager has shown his true colours to you with an abrupt tone or manner & you don't feel happy with the car, I personally would get my money back now, cut my losses & find another elsewhere, I would rather leave the garage with the car & them having another car to shift so in the long run it gives them grief rather than me.

 

But hey, it's up to you what you decide but I wouldn't like this especially as you have just purchased the car.

I’ve had the car for over a year now. It’s a cracker! I’m well pleased. I’m getting the DSG transmission serviced as it’s sitting at around 53000 miles and I’d feel better knowing it’s been done.

Good call. Actually, if you have a 66 plate, it's probably a DQ250 box and officially it needs replacement oil and filter every 40k miles. Whilst you are there, consider getting the HALDEX done too. To do a proper HALDEX service, you need to replace the gauce filter on the pump as well as the oil. A decent independent VW can do that for you

Yes, both my friends are extremely efficient and knowledgeable at what they do.

I’ve known them for over 20 years and have entrusted them to do all work with my and my family’s cars.

 

Sounds like they'd be great additions to the Briskoda forums.

If I thought they would I would’ve asked! They aren’t overly fussed about any car forums.....suppose it’s because it’s their actual job and when the pull the shutters down at night, that’s it!

They are just knowledgeable, honest and nice guys and I’m very lucky to be friends with them.
