How long to build a Skoda Superb Estate?

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just yesterday been informed a Skoda Superb Estate I ordered in January, is going to be built next week! Apparantly delivery will be mid march, beginning of april. How long does it take to build at the factory, does anyone know?

In 2018 Skoda built 890,000 vehicles in the Czech Republic. Last year they built 910,000 of which 260,000 were Octavia's. Taking away 3 weeks for the summer shutdown they would have to make 4 cars per minute assuming 2 shifts  per day (06:00 until 14:00 and 14:00 until 22:00) with no production at the weekend.:hi:

The Superb certainly ticks all those boxes need to find someone to drive me to work so I can lounge back there in 1st class.:)

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but the way the media are talking about this Corona virus, things may slow down a bit.

They keep changing the date on the brokers portal, we've gone from 10/3 to 19/3/2020. Currently talking to Paul Twigg about their promise to deliver by 5/3 and curt emails from staff at Skoda Liverpool.

Here's an interesting update, if anyone's interested? My local dealership tell me the car I ordered ( 150 PS 2.0 TSI CR Superb Estate, won't be available for at least another 20 weeks! The brokers are claiming its not down to them the car was promised by the beginning of March and the dealership are saying the broker should not have promised that date. The broker has got back to me offering a refund of my brokers fee.

Sounds like a good reason to avoid brokers. Promise the Earth to get your deposit and then fail to deliver. I would accept their offer and visit your local Dealer if you still want a Skoda.

Update to the update lol, the dealership inform me that they buy shedloads of these cars hence why they can price them so competitively.  my local dealership cannot even come close on pricing.  The car has been assembled and awaiting shipping to uk, ETA 19th March.  The General manager at Skoda Liverpool claims that he is liasing with Select Leasing o make it happen asap.
