Fitting Horns to Fabia models

Featured Replies

I came across this on the Bay.

Has anyone used one of these?

I've not seen that before. Interesting. However, when I looked into replacing the rubbish Fabia horn, I found that you need to remove the battery and battery tray to get to the horn beneath.

I'll be interested to know if you do get the kit and how easy it is to replace the weedy peep peep of the Fabia!

I fitted triple air horns to a car back in the 80's that were also wired up to the alarm I had fitted.

I also had a hidden switch that would swap between air horns and the normal horn.

I lived in London at the time and car theft was common.

The alarm/triple air horns could wake me from 100 yards away, it also woke the neighbours, slight downfall.

Car never got stolen though.

Thanks AG Falco

London in the 80s! I had a colleague who parked near a tube station to travel to work in central London. He was so fed up with his car being regularly vandalised, he bought the grottiest Marina that still ran, ripped out the radio and never bothered to lock the doors. It was never nicked!
