Superb Mk3 - how many miles can i get

Featured Replies

Had my Superb SE L Executive 150PS TDI Manual since July 2016. Company car.

Due to renew after 4 years but with the new WLTP CO2 figures coming in, the tax is getting a bit ridiculous and now making taking an allowance a much more attractive option than previous.

Really love my Superb and thinking of buying it from the lease company at end of the term. Will have about 90k miles by then.

Wondering if I could run it for another 3 years (up to around 150k miles) without having any major issues/repairs?

Thoughts??

Anyone ran a superb for this long, or any experience of superbs around this mileage?

As long as the car has been serviced regularly, I don't see why it won't do 300, 400, 500,000 miles?

There's an Octavia Mark 1 in the press fleet in Ireland that's done 800,000km, and a Mk2 that's done over 900,000km.....

Mine is a S spec and the 120PS TDi 1.6 Manual, and is also a company car that's just over 4 years old.  Currently approaching 125k and no major issues (creaking suspension which was fixed and self-opening glovebox which wasn't).

Only cost you might have soon (if not already) is cambelt but mine went about 35k over by accident with no issues!  If I'd been asked I would have kept it for another year as its still 'Superb' but am having to replace, and as my allowance figure was pathetic I had no choice but to take the BIK tax hit and stick with a company car (which will be a SE 2.0TDi 150PS hatch), so better emissions but more expensive car.

If I could afford to buy my car and keep it for family I would, sadly not though (and no space on the drive for two Superbs!!).
