Afternoon Gents. My sat nav has failed and continually identifies us as being in the Irish sea. Is there any software available for a reboot rather than be served the dealerships bill. If all else fails is there a low price unit replacement site or a different make that will fit in nice and snug. Any help appreciated. The car is sadly to be sold as needs must. Best car I've ever had btw

You most likely have a failed GPS antenna. This is much more common (and thankfully cheaper) than a failed unit for this fault.

Easiest fix is a £5 replacement "puck" style antenna from Ebay, and disconnect the factory antenna, replace with the new one, site the antenna somewhere convenient behind the dash, and that's it.
