Headlight Lamp Questions

Featured Replies

Greetings from Athens, Greece

I am new here and although I did a little search, I couldn't find anything about the my problem. In case there is already something out there my apologies to the mods.

I have an Octavia hatch, 1.0 Petrol. She was manufactured on September of 2016 (the salesman told me it's considered as a 2017 model, so.....anyway). This means it's the pro facelift of 2017, model,

without the led day lights.

I want to change the H7 and H15 bulbs and get something brighter (and whiter). Not interested in Xenon or Led ones, just a minor and cheap upgrade for better safety.

The fact is that searching for the best bulbs, I saw that there are two different bulb base versions, the PGJ23t-1 and the PX26d. I asked the guys I bought it from and they weren't sure about which one

I got. I searched through some major bulb makers' bulb finder but again, in some cases I get contradictory info so I began wondering if they really are two different kinds of lamps. They may be the

same one but the first version comes with a base for the cars who don't have one already mounted while the second one goes to cars that the base is already there.

Does anyone have any knowledge on the matter?

Thanks in advance, George

My google search showed PGJ23t-1 as being a H15 bulb (Full beam / DRL) and the PX26d as being H7  bulb (Dipped beam).
