electrical termination

Featured Replies

Hello,

does anybody know what the three wires that disappear into the drivers seat are connected to inside the upholstery?

Probably the seat occupied sensor.

Thanks for your help.

that would be my suggestion, too. They will then illuminate the dashboard seatbelt light, (And eventually, the warning alarm), if you fail to fit the belt.

Thanks. I shall have another look.

the seatbelt/airbag light came on shortly after I had adjusted the seat height recline angle.

i have checked the connector and have continuity on the 3 terminals.

"if" it was that connector that maybe was the issue, then it would have latched a fault, it will probably need plugging in to reset it.

Thanks. I have a cheap code reader but it is indicating no fault.

when I checked the wires coming from the seat  brown was earth.

the black and blue were short circuit.

Of the the 3 going to the seat brown was earth. The white and grey showed fluctuating voltages from about 0.3V to 1.8V.

but I don’t know what any of these values are meant to be under normal conditions.

What year is your Fabia and is this DEF a 3 pin connector ?
