Parameter File - 5Q0 980 568 A

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

today I wanted to "repair" my rear view camera (highline type) and I flashed SW 5Q0980568A_0180. The camera is now saying, that there is "End-of-line Programming" error.

I found out, that I need parameter file (zdc file?). Does anyone have it or know, how to get it?

Camera is brand new. Everything is coded correctly in the car, also the radio see it, but can't show the "video".

I also can't code the camera, because it is always "out of range".

Thank you for any advice.

As you've asked for a ZDC file, I assume you're using VCP?

If so, the ZDC files are locked to a specific VCP interface so you'll need to use the VCP activator. If the file isn't there, you'll need to contact VCP support.

Oh, thank you for your quick reply.

I'm using DiagR. I asked for ZDC file, because I tried to look everywhere on the internet and everytime it was just "zdc file". Maybe there is another way without zdc file, but I don't know about it.

ZDC files are specific to VCP so I doubt DiagR can use them. Might be worth trying to find a VCP user near you?

The alternative is ODIS, that's the dealer level tool which can download the correct parameter file from VAG/Skoda servers. This is mostly dealer only as it requires an online connection which isn't cheap...

Occasionally, the parameter files are shared as XML which ODIS and other tools can use, possibly even DiagR? Given how rare they are, it might not exist for your combination of hardware, software and car model.

So I can't use "just some XML/ZDC file with the same SW name". I need specific for my car, right?

I found out, that in DiagR I can "upload"/flash XML and ZDC files.

My friend has ODIS, but without online connection (as far as I know).

I should try to find out someone with VCP then
