I would really like to know if it is possible to install the ihi is20 turbo on the gen 2 1.8 tsi. I am aware that it’s possible to upgrade the turbo to k04 but i would like to know about the possibility of installing a ihi turbo on it.

I doubt it would be a straight swap as the IHI is20 is on the mk7 gti MQB series. it may well be possible though. Well anything's possible as they say, with enough time and money.
