Featured Replies

Hi all I hope that everybody is avoiding covid, I have been loitering here for a while  trying to resolve an issue with my 2011 Fabia tsi 1.4 to no avail thus far. Now having joined the forum I would like to ask the experts here for help/constructive advice please. A bit back I ran through heavy water on my way home from work a bit dumb I guess, but I never thought I would throw up five codes on my 2011 Fabia Tsi 1.4 . I wiped the codes after a dry out phase however my car continually shows the code P10AD00 and states magnetic clutch for mechanical charger open circuit. I paid for and tried to download a pdf manual but that's another story, so could anybody help me locate the sensor I have no idea where to look for it. I can only assume that it is shorted out and has failed due to water ingress. I had five codes but just reset all, however this one despite many wipes will not go. The others do re appear after a short drive. The rub is my Skoda dwaler says I need a new full loom to fix the probs, I smell a rat and am not rich enough or stupid enough to buy into this. I was once a mechanic myself, long before sensors etc were the norm though. I would appreciate any help offered. Kind regards to all keep safe.
