Tail gate swap, boot button not working

I’ve recently switched my tailgate from my Skoda Fabia. In doing so, all electrics seem to be working fine. However, the boot button doesn’t seem to work. The system is able to identify if the lock is closed or open. But it can’t open the lock when pressing boot button. Any suggestions? Should I put old lock in the new tailgate? Thanks.
