Hi

Why i have a bit of time on my hands i was wondering if anyone has taken on what seems an easy conversion? E-bay seem to have kits for roughly 15.00 pounds that do all the interior bulbs or does anyone know of anywhere else they can be purchased ? i prefer UK only buys if possible

I've purchased off ebay and been happy. No links though as purchased ages ago in bulk. Even stuck two together side by side but using one connector.

 

Just buy some cheap ones and see what works. What you got, saloon or estate?

Hi thanks for info . Think it will brighten the interior so I’ll actually be see what I’m doing. 2008 1.9tdi estate elegance.what do you drive?on another subject do you know if it should have puddle lights? I swear when I 1st got it the passenger side had one but stopped working.

@stu55-57 Yes, the Elegance should have puddle lights, unless someone has replaced the indicator lenses and used the cheaper, non puddle ones.

 

If you are sure one worked before then you should just need replacement bulbs.............No canbus worries there either.........so led's are good.

ok great i'll try and take the mirror apart which i tried before (Utube make it look easy so assume they had already loosened everything before recording!!) i then change to LED bulbs.

Tis pretty easy..........I'm assuming both of your led mirror indicators work properly???

 

If these fail then a new part is required as they are built in led's (so two bulbs in each mirror tho only puddle light bulb can be replaced.

yes both indicators work so that's good news so hopefully just an upgrade to an LED Bulb 

Hi. I bought these last year to convert all the roof interior lights to LED. At first I bought cheaper ones, but when you had the lights off, there was a very faint glow from each bulb. Once I fitted these shown below at £15.44 for 4 bulbs, they worked perfectly. The old saying, buy cheap you buy twice applied in my situation.
