I'm also retrofitting the a5 camera now and upgrading my radar also (for pACC), so the 2x twisted orange CAN wires need to go from the camera to the radar, right? How did you get through the firewall? Is that a hard cable run to do?

Hello did you replace the windshield ?

If you need any help fallow this  thread

Their is a tiny 1cm ruber  behind the clutch pedal , you will have to remove the battery and you catch the cable there.

Are those rivets?

Are they reusable once you take them out?

Taking them out just with some screwdriver under them and carefully pushing them up?

As a last question, is the radar fixed in that plastic mount with screws or something?

Thank you!

No, they r not rivets.

They're plastic caps that push out and reusable.

Just pull it out carefully.

The radar itself is fixed in place by "calibrated" screws. i.e. mess with those, or the bracket and ur ACC will b out of whack and require recalibration!!

Ye I’m swapping to 3QF radar and wanted to know if I can just take out that cover and not the whole bumper in order to be able to change the radar. And also, do I have to move the plastic mount when taking out and mounting the new radar? Some guys told me it isn’t necessary to calibrate it (just the dynamic calibration) when changing the radar so I’m assuming I don’t have to move the main plastic mount.

Thank you

I've also got the problem that I can't find any information on how to remove the ACC front cover for the superb 2020 onwards facelifted model. As per the picture given above there are no two holes to stick a scredriver into.

The front ACC cover is definately a seperate panel that I can see looks like it should clip off..... but I really dont want to break it.

Any ideas or links would be amazing as I really like to check there isn't grot on the inside which is stopping my ACC from working before paying the Skoda garage!

Hi @Camarao69 ,
I am planning to remove this cover on my 2019 Karoq. I am guessing that after removing JUST the cover I will not have to calibrate the RADAR again, right?

My understandin is that unless you know it or the housing you shouldn't need to recalibrate it, but I'm definately no expert!!

For interest do you have hte two lug holes to insert screwdriver for releasing the ACC cover or like me with no holes and stuck on how to remove it!

I do have the 2 screw holes but I don't think there is a cover there, I believe that for me, in order to access the radar, I need to remove the entire grille.
Searching over the ethernet, I found no radar cover for the Karoq, only for Kodiaq 😔

For me, I want to remove this cover just to be able to mount a front parking camera and I want to make it look like OEM but I think I have to remove the entire front grille.
