Wiring from engine bay into cabin

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where there might be suitable access to get some wiring into the cabin from the engine bay on a FLO3? Ideally on the right hand side.

If it's a DSG you can go through the blanking grommet behind the pedal box, if it's a manual you can get through the grommet for the main loom behind the battery, but it's a bit of a PITA.

Thanks, it’s a manual, so I guess behind the battery it is. I presume it is going to be a battery removal job? What should I watch out for? Not disconnected the battery on this car yet.

Sometimes there is a small nipple that you can run a wire through, otherwise you have to poke a hole in the rubber boot, being VERY careful not to damage the loom.

If you need a 12v supply you'd be better going off the fuse box.

It's to run a loom to the PDC/OPS controller just beside the drivers right knee. Have retrofitted front parking sensors, but need to get the wiring into the cabin.
