USB port

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I have an Octavia Wagon bought in summer 2017.

I need to change my USB pendrive to increase memory from 64gb to 128gb.

I would like to buy a USB 3.0 to have a faster one but I am not sure that a USB3.0 can be read.

Does the USB port read a 3.0 USB pendrive?

I checked the owner's manual but it was not so clear: "USB 1.x; 2.x e 3.x or superior with USB 2.x support"

Thanks,

Maurizio

Can't see why not. You won't get the benefit on the car but would do in whatever device you use to transfer the files with.

The USB port is USB2.0, any USB3.0 device can be plugged into a USB2.0 port and will operate at USB2.0 speed.

Thanks PetrolDave!

Remember to format your USB stick to FAT32. Because I'm not sure the USB port supports NTFS formating ...

Thanks!

Or try a "dummy" flash drive in NTFS with any mp3 for testing ;)
