Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 Skoda Superb L&K 170bhp with the Columbus sat nav unit but unfortunately it does not have Bluetooth, does anybody know if it can be added or do I have to buy just a aftermarket Bluetooth?

A 2014 should have Bluetooth - it was even fitted to the S model of the time (mine is a 2014 S and has Bluetooth). The module should be in front of the drivers seat under a plastic cover.

Photo with plastic cover removed - note to self Covid lockdown vacuum required!

Ok I have found this under my seat, so then would you say its broken, if i press the phone button on the stereo all it does is mute the sterio, would it be as simple as buy a new part and replace it or would it need doing at a garage?

Could be broken, there could be a wiring fault or something badly coded if something has been replaced previously.

Idealy, the first stage would be to get a scan done with VCDS or similar to see what, if any, faults are present.

Have you tried connecting to Bluetooth via the mfd menu?

There is no option for bluetooth on it, I think I'm going to book it in at a garage to see if it just needs loading on

Don't be going to a garage, they'll either take your eyes out to fix it or they'll say they have no idea what's wrong after the've taken your eyes out.

It's non essential, so wait til Lock Down eases then bob over here to me and I'll scan it for you and see what's going on.

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in again - the IT equivalent of "turning it off and on again"
