USB port - what current can it deliver and when?

Some more experimentation, same journeys, same sat nav apps. With no external power supplied to the Qi charger/phone holder, over a 'test route' phone will lose about 25% charge using eg Google Navigation. With power to Qi charger from USB port, it will lose about 5%, give or take. Powered by the 12V to 5V USB adapter, it will take the phone from 80% to 100% in less than 30 minutes.

And sorry to sound like a broken record, but I **hate** the 12V sockets being constantly live: I have to remember to remove the adapter when I park, and thus when I set off, it's easy to place the phone in the Qi holder and, er, totally forget to put the adapter back into the 12V socket.....Aaaaargh!

You will need an additional usb HUB and cabling... - my version of Kodiaq has only one USB port - no idea who or how and was thinking about replacing it and various versions... but looked up all the original parts... and you need an additional USB hub and also the proper wiring ;-()
