Where the fu............

Sorry, frustrated I'm not better with technology............where is it (the notifications 'bell') on an android phone, or what alternatives are there???

 

I do not like to use phone for online but found inserting photos actually very easy with it................lot easier than trawling my laptop for a photo.

Quite a few of the Android phones can be set to show different colours on their notification led. 
Unfortunately the true Android phones, aka Pixel can’t though.
Alternatively you can enable screen notifications for certain programs such as email, WhatsApp etc.

Yes bud.....

It shows on my laptop for easy access of received replies but cannot see anything similar on my phone so I have to trawl through the topics at the mo, to find the topic that i want to either read, or more likely, reply to.

Cool, assuming you're using the web browser on the phone, scroll to the very top and hit the three bars:

 

And then it should show the notification bell:

@langers2k I guessed it was probably easy (though I thought I had tried that)..........

 

I'm quite intelligent, honest, but technology gets me, I prefer diy and tools and building and mending stuff. I don't have the patience for tech, Lol.

 

I kept touching the screen for the topic, but keep forgetting you have to touch the title rather than just the other text.............silly bugger.
