An unusual diversion, from an SUV to a saloon (sedan)? Two very different target audiences.

As it happens I have both an SUV (Kodiaq Scout) and a saloon (Mercedes-Benz E-Class). The Mercedes is ideal for my daily motorway commute to work, but would be completely impractical for anything else.

The Kodiaq is the family bus. It is used to carry the shopping, DIY materials, dog, rubbish tip runs and tows the caravan. The boot on the Mercedes is big, but the access via the saloon boot lid and lack of folding rear seats renders it all but useless.

What are the roads like on your commute? The high tyre profile on the Kodiaq and Q5 are great for potholes, those elastic bands on the A6 much less so. Great for a quick lap of the Nurburgring, less so for the local housing estate.

My current car will be my last sedan / saloon.
