Random Reset

Featured Replies

Today, I think for the second time, my car had its data cleared.  The clock was reset, trip mileage was reset, and some other stored data on the infotainment system was all reset.

No idea why???

Anyone else have this happen or can offer an explanation why this would inadvertently happen?

It is a 2018 1.5 TSI Octavia with Swing unit (MIB2GP)

On some cluster part number there is an sw update regarding this issue. Also this is part of a TPI.

Yes - sounds like the problem reported in this thread:

The answer seems to be that a SW update is needed, as per this post in the thread:

Thanks!

I will be taking a trip to Skoda service.  Hopefully I can get an upgrade.

Is there and easy way to identify which instrument panal I have?

Is there an official TPI available?
