Vibrations

Featured Replies

Hey.

Anyone got a clue what this could be. I have a 40min commute to work. About half way to three quarters of the way once car is warmed up, the car seems to have a vibration slight on the steering wheel and just a general vibration of the vehicle. It doesn't ease if you ease of the gas. It's not pulling to either side and doesn't seem to increase on braking. The left from brake discs and pads were changed last year and the other side were fine.

Thanks in advance 🙂

What speed does this happen at?

I had a similar issue in my car until recently...had the back tyres looked at/changed/balanced, as they had very uneven wear. Problem has gone for now (touch wood). Only seemed to affect the car at speeds 50mph+, but very noticeable in terms of vibration through the wheel, seat and car in general.

Sorry if I'm wrong but you had the brake discs and pads changed only on the nearside of your car?

Mine drove me nuts from the day I drove it home. Turns out 3 of the 4 original Skoda wheels had slight buckles, they're crap.

Try and find a decent wheel balancing place, roadforce machines will 100% eliminate this, not cheap but worth it. Kwik fit will just balance it up as best they can.

Its more distance than speed. Once I get about 15 -20 miles down the road it seems to start.
