MY VW POLO 1.4  2004  9N Automatic gear box when I engage drive it takes some few seconds to move I change the transmission oil and clean the pan but nothing change can any one help what must be the problem .

Not many of those still around in the UK.  Auto gearbox are usually expensive to service and it sounds like at best a sensor issue or corroded/wet connect and at worst a failure in the mechtronic controller.

 

I would try and find a low mileage perhaps new version to drop in to the car, perhaps from a car being scrapped.

 

Even the latest DSG Autos still get big trouble with one in four gearboxes needing several thousand pounds after the warranty expires but before their 10th year in service. It has always been the case that auto can require more spending to keep them going due to the complexity,   That said I love my 7 speed auto and it give very good fuel consumption and relaxing drive.
