Superb 1.4tsi sportline 68 plate DSG, any known issues?

Featured Replies

I'm hoping to buy a 68 plate 1.4 TSI Skoda Superb Sportline DSG in the next few months (bit of an upgrade from the current Rapid Spaceback 1.2) and wondered if there were any particular issues with these especially around the DSG gearbox. I'd rather not end up with a huge bill for gearbox repairs.

Fingers crossed and manufacturers warranty cover on the DQ200 DSG is a good thing to have and trust in Skoda having got reliability with the latest ones.

They have had long enough & the experience now to sort out the issues.

Just be sure to have an extended warranty in place that covers the DSG when the Manufacturers one expires.

There is no Servicing Schedule / Guidelines on the DQ200.   Just a use and forget.  (Just like VW / Skoda want.  Any issues, do not expect their help...)

This thing is going to get 20,000 miles a year on it, is that cause for concern?

This below issue is well documented throughout VAG, and can get expensive. We have had this erratic warning on our 2016, but are ignoring it for now.

Yeah it flashes on my 2016 2.0TDI too. Goes away after a few seconds. First time I saw it was about oooooo 2 days after I bought it. I was mildly unimpressed to say the least because of the nature of the text.

Well, nothing flashes so far. Need to get the Skoda Connect available (Dealer sorting it) but other than that very happy with the car so far. 68 plate 1.4TSI Sportline in Brilliant Silver and it's ....well.,....Superb. 🙂
