Hi I have a 2008 Octavia Scout and it's got a leak from the turbo oil return pipe so my garage has told me to get a new pipe gasket and banjo bolt

I have got the pipe and the gasket but I am struggling to find what the bolt is

Any help would be great

If your car is a diesel with a BMM, BLS or BMN engine the banjo bolts are M6x16.

 

Part number N 90592703 if you want to go the 'official' route.

How would I know what engine it is

In the handbook and also in the boot/spare wheel well/wheel arch you will find a rectangular label with the specification of your car. The top section includes engine code, transmission code etc.

The lower section is a collection of three letter and number codes that identify the various items fitted during the build of your car.

Could be landscape or portrait in style but will look something like this:-

 

M6 sounds too small to me, the banjo bolt should be bigger than that on the oil return.

I have order the bolts for the top of the oil return pipe the m6*16 bolts

For the banjo bolt is that the one that connects to the other end of the return pipe and if so what size is it or do you have a part number

I believe it is this one. (item 11)

 

So does that go onto the end of the oil return pipe

A 2008 diesel Scout will be a BMM with a DPF.
