Rust

Featured Replies

Hello, just wondering if anyone has had issues with rust just below windows. Been cleaning the car a lot during lockdown and noticed slight bubbling on 3 of the 4 doors, just below black rubber window surrounds.

Pictures ?

being a monte its not that old.

Thats clearly worth a warranty claim, the corrosion is "under" the paint and by the time the paint flakes off the corrosion will be to bad. I don't see how they could argue that

The oldest are 10 year old the same as Mk2 vRS.

I first saw the rust starting to show in the same place on some vRS's when they were 5 years old.

People should maybe check the bit at the front of the rear door at the rubber seal.

Especially Red cars or metallic.

& the tail gate rust is pretty common.
