Rear Dashcam Install Tailgate Panel Removal Ideas

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Seen the many valuable videos for installing the front dashcam which meant I was able to install in less than an hour with no issues.

I have searched but I am unable to find any help on the rear dashcam install on my Superb 2018 SE L Exec.

I just need some guidance on how best to remove this panel off the boot. Any help I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Made images easier to see.

I've hardwired a Nextbase 522GW with the rear cam add on.  I looked at putting the wire behind that trim but ended up just leaving a couple of inches to bridge the gap and routed it along the rubber on the inside of the boot, I'm not fussed with the tiny bit of wire being visible.

But I think you have to remove the lower section of that trim before being able to remove the top part.

Thanks for that. I’ve done the same. Because I managed to get the upper trim off to access the rubber tube which is packed full of wires and even if I managed to get it through it goes into metal headlining.
