beeping while driving.

Featured Replies

OK, this is annoying. 300 miles in,  the 1.0 TSI is making a faint high pitched beep occasionally on the move. My ears are screwed, so I can't hear it, but my wife can. It comes from the dashboard area, but there are no warning lights.

Anyone else heard this?

Accidentally turned ON speed limiter warning from the stalk?

Not sure if this applies to the Karoq, but is it possible your mobile is attempting to connect to your car?

Just a thought if you get too close to a vehicle in front of you without touching the brakes the front radar in the grill makes a loud audible warning but you should also see a bright red symbol displayed on the maxidot screen between the dials (if you haven't got the virtual cockpit).:whew:

I don't think its a system related alert, as I would expect it to be loud enough for the driver to hear it.

The phone is connected via USB, so there's no issues there.  The sound occurs at any point in the drive and my routes are rural and quiet.

Its at a frequency/ level that I can't hear, at least from the drivers seat, v odd.

Is it the wife? 😂

I was thinking the same when she gets a bit anxious perhaps, high pitched squeal.

A site search brings up something called a 'charcoal canister hose' giving similar symptoms?

You've stated your ears are screwed, you don't by any chance wear a hearing aid?

My dad's hearing aid makes loud noises down the phone. He can't hear it  BBF everyone else can, especially the person on the other end of the phone!

I know you stated the noise appears to come from the dash area, but I have a rattle that to me sounds like it's coming from the dash area, but I've actually traced it to the dash cam wiring in the roof lining.

No I'm not in need of an aid - high frequency issues. Ex raf..

Yes . I have it also in my 1.5 tsi sport line. Very feint high pitch whine about 1-2 kHz. Seems to come from video display. Variable duration of length and not always audible. Car is one month old.

Has anyone got anywhere with this or had any experience reporting to Skoda?  I have exactly the same on Karoq Sportline (late 2023 car).  Owned 2 similar Karoqs before and neither did this. Just annoying really.
Sounds like a sensor noise but not designed to alert the occupants. Have been through and deselected all the sensors I can from the menu options. Makes no difference.
