Featured Replies

Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has a V reg Fabia like mine , as I have'nt seen another one on the road. Mine was registered on the 29th of Feb 2000 (leap year!) so was one day from being a W plater!! It was used as a Dealer demo for the Fabia launch party (I know that coz i found an invitation in the pocket on the back of the drivers seat!!)....anyone??

I don't think so. I'm definitely not aware of another one. A very unique feature.

Has the warranty run out yet? :D

I've never seen a V plate one... I thought W was the earliest... he he.

the hardest part was trying to explain to my insurance company call centre

dumbo somewhere in India that all I was doing was changing my plate

god I hate overseas call centres

We registered one around the end of Feb 2000 on a V plate.

We registered one around the end of Feb 2000 on a V plate.

I did see a V reg in blue around Luton, but wern't Fabias out in Czech in 1999?

7 Years! It's turning into the Ford KA

Mine 1.4 16v is a W....registered in July 2000. Have never seen a V, and like you, thought they didn't exist!

I nearly bought my wife a W plate one, but in the end bought her a Y plate 1.4

Thanks for the replies , I reckon one or two dealers may have banged a Furby out at the end of Feb 2000 as a demo just to make their target registrations for the month , although mine could not be any closer to a W plate - it was registered on the 29th of Feb 2000!! Apparently the new Fabia isnt coming here 'til 2008 so the car will be over 8 years old when replaced , although when you look at a 2000 MY Fiesta or Corsa , I'd say the design of the Furby still looks quite modern!

I think LHD production of the Fabia did indeed begin in 1999 , but I found a build card in my seatback for my car , dated 26th Jan 2000 , so maybe RHD production started after the Xmas 1999 hols in M-B?

One of the things that impresses me about the Fabia is that although my W reg is coming up to six years old, she still looks in great shape, and the interior hasn't really worn in anyway. Clean it up, and its close to new. They really are long lasting cars!

I did see a Silver V reg Fabia in a hospital car park near Maidstone in Kent but didn't think much of it at the time. Seems these are rare as rocking horse do-dah!. :P
