Front bushings

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Right I'm completely useless at this so I've got no idea what I'm asking for so hoping you can all give me some advice.

Looking at replacing the front bushes on my Fabia 1.6tdi estate.

I'd much rather do them all at the same time.

So can anyone please list what I need?

And anything else they'd recommend to replace whilst I've got the mechanic under there?

Car is 2011, done 145,000miles.

Many thanks

i replaced these bushes on my car as the OEM were worn out and were making my tires wear unevenley

No1 and No2.

You can replace the antiroll bar bushes No4, however i read some posts that there was no difference in handling.

No4 and No11 can make your ride quality a bit harsher.

to add to that No1 and no2 are not easy to pull out as you need a press of some sort or a bit of ingenuity (watch on youtube).

I have changed bush No2 a couple of times each side as they cannot stand the punishment of British road potholes I used original Skoda/VW replacements which are void bushes but I understand there is a Seat bush which is solid so lasts longer makes the steering feel more direct but at the expense of ride quality. I bought an extraction / replacement tool to do it and was relatively easy to do.
