DPF Pressure Sensor

Featured Replies

I picked up from another post (which I now cannot find!) about replacing the DPF Pressure Sensor and it needed to be 'logged' in to the ECU otherwise the ECU would 'hold' the old values which in turn would possibly give a false reading? So my questions are:

1: If the DPF is cleaned and then the values for that are reset with VCDS would the Pressure Sensor automatically pick that up? or

2: Given that the post stated the Sensor had to be logged before starting the engine, you only get one shot at it, would the pressure sensor need to be changed and logged in with the new values? or

3: can the original sensor have it's 'learned values' reset with VCDS?

Cannot find anything on the Ross Tech Forum.

If you replace the sensor it needs to be calibrated there is another term for it. If you search for one of my Superb 2 posts I had it done at a VAG Indi

Hi, yes it is also know as adapting, through the adaptions setting on VCDS which I have an official set up for. I have had issues with the DPF since a new turbo was put on abd was wondering if without doing anything to the DPF Sensor it could effect the running of the car.
