Electric Windows Stopped Working

Featured Replies

Came home today and tried to put up the windows before switching off the engine. Neither left or right windows would go up. Switched off the engine and re-started----still no joy. Locked the doors using the key and held it in place until the windows closed. When I drove the car a short time later they worked fine. Is this some usual gremlin in the electrics that causes this??

Any body else had this happen?

Eddie

Try pulling the fuse for a couple of minutes.

You'll have to remember to reset 'one touch' windows after.

I read about this in another thead relating to d/c the battery....is it actually true? What do you need to do?

Resetting one touch.

With the windows up hold the switch up briefly, then do it again and hold, you will hear a kind of click. One touch is now set.

Have a word with your dealer if it comes back, modified motors with a different software program are available, however not for all models.
