Couln't get there ......got really bad hay fever ( runny eyes, constant aneezing, difficult to breathe) and had to stay sat down for most of the day

By the look of that though .....all that smoke would have made it worse

HOW MUCH SMOKE?!?!

its weird watching those videos , i'm sure you were going pretty darn quick but it just didn't look that fast , i was videoed at a sprint on new brighton prom in a mini cooper , i thought i was going really quick until i saw the video OMG it looked slow , anyways enjoyed the smoke trail ,cough cough LOL

For reference that last corner was being taken at 65 - For every lap I couldn't work out the right line to take - I'm sure it could have been done at 70+ but I couldn't get the bottle to hammer it in hard (there's a big nasty wall there )

and down the main straight I'd say I was up to 100, and then probably 110 along the back before I bottled it for quarry. I gave that the utmost of respect on every corner... nasty bumps and sudden weightlessness over there. :eek:

The 928 will get to 110-120 at the top of Avon Rise, but there was no way to do that yesterday - too much traffic and bad driving.

By "along the back" do you mean the Hammerdown down to Tower? You won't reach the same speeds there as the pit straight.

McClaren Mercedes have just issued some performance figures for thier latest car.

0 - 60 mph - 2.1 sec

0 - 100 mph - 3.5 sec

0 - 100 - 0 - 6.1 sec (5.7g) :eek:

Few piccies - the green MG was pretty much the fastest thing on track - and very well driven too.

Took the 350Z for Goochie - it cornered very flat, but was being driven so far inside its limits it was a bit sad, really. It could have been at least 10mph faster round Quarry.

Unfortunately it is the right amount of smoke for full throttle 4th/5th gear. However there's nothing wrong with the power - Its constant and lovely at all times.

Hoping once the powershot is installed, a lot of that smog should be cleaned up.

There was a brand new beemer M3 blatting around with me on track so the philosophy about mega expensive cars and hard driving doesn't apply to everyone.

I left around 4pm so didn't see any damaged cars except an escort. Shame about the MG and I heard a cossie rolled later on too.

yeah i've heard about that wall , a mate told me about a cossy escort iirc going off there in a big way and hitting the wall backwards right by where you go into the pits , pushed the boot floor to the back of the front seats , i think he was in the process of claiming through his insurance when a national ford magazine had photos of the crash in its next issue :eek:
