Skoda Rapid Sat Nav

Hi

This is my first post on the forum, so apologies if I'm repeating another thread.

I have a 2017 Rapid Hatchback SE. Currently I have the Swing 6.5" infotainment unit (MIB2). There is no separate unit in the glovebox.

Is it possible to upgrade to the Columbus (5JA919604A) unit? Most of these only come with a display, with different connections to the rear of the unit.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mark

This is MIB stuff, not something I generally get involved with I'm afraid.

I'm assuming it's doable, but I'd rather not go for an eBay type android unit. Prefer the OEM look.

Thanks for your time, both of you.

What I will say is if you want a Columbus or Amundsen then you'll need the whole glove box section I think, and then you'll have the possibility of fitting the unit in there. After that I dunno what else will be needed, but you might have enough space to fit an Amundsen 2 unit similar to the Yeti?

Thanks! Sounds like I'm in for a little more of a project than I'd hoped! 😬
