The Set is Complete

Hello Skoda Forum

After taking advantage of the post lock down deals, as Skoda looks to shift stock vehicles, I've recently driven away from my local dealership in a Kamiq SE L 115bhp, dressed in titan blue.  As a former owner of a 2002 Audi A4 1.9TDi Sport, a 2005 SEAT Toledo 2.0 TDi Sport and a 2013 VW (high) UP!, the Kamiq now sees me completing the VAG set.

Having held the keys for less than 7 days, all remains well thus far.  By no means a true master, I've grasped most features offered by the Amundsen infotainment system, while simply enjoying my time spent in a cabin that remains as hushed as it is ambient and comfortable.

Although plenty of 'poke' is provided throughout the lower gears, in comparison to other vehicles I've owned, the 115bhp engine isn't blisteringly quick nor is the handling quite as dynamic.  However, since it's very much a small(er), yet deceptively spacious SUV for grown-ups, that maintains its composure over rougher surfaces and doesn't particularly wallow on bends, the level of driving refinement more than makes up for lack of dynamic sporting prowess.

Although the optional sport suspension set up may offer a wholly different and engaging driving experience, I'm more than happy to amble at 30mph in 5th gear, in a vehicle that I'm yet to pass on the opposite side of the road.  As such, I'm looking forward to 4+ years of happy motoring in my Kamiq.
